Canon Would Like to Wish All You Pro Photographers a Big "F" You!

Wow!  It looks like Canon is now in the business of setting up low-cost photo studios to under-cut professional photographers.

Not sure if this is the first, but the one in Calgary featured in the image above offers a portrait studio and print service with prices so ridiculously low that it even undercuts WALMART!

I'm totally flabbergasted!  Talk about biting the hand that feeds you.

What's next?  A new Canon wedding photography service that's free as long as you order a minimum of $20 worth of 4x6 prints?

I'm not sure what brainiac at Canon came up with this idea, but I'm pretty sure they didn't fully think this one through.

Either that, or they just forgot that their main customers, photographers, are actually trying to earn a living doing this kind of thing.

Or, perhaps they just don't give a shit.  Maybe Canon is just so big and so arrogant that they really don't care about photographers, no matter how much money they spend on Canon cameras and equipment.

Whatever the reason, this is REALLY bad, and Canon NEEDS to reconsider this path they've headed out on.

(perhaps it's time for Canon shooters to consider some really awesome M4/3 alternatives like the fabulous Olympus OM-D E-M1, the incredible Panasonic GH4, or King of the Megapixel hill, the Sony a7R)
