Nikon DSLR with Projector and Nikon Mirrorless EVIL Digital Camera "Something Nobody Is Making"

Nikon has filed a patent for a Nikon DSLR with a Projector in it. It'll be interesting to see what DSLR this shows up in first... the Nikon D5000 replacement? The Nikon D400?

And Nikon's Tetsuro Gotu said in a Photokina interview that Nikon is "eagerly developing a new genre of camera" that [Nikon] president Kimura described (in a previous interview probably) as "something that no maker is currently making".

Nikon D7000 's and Thom Hogan Held Hostage In Torres del Paine National Park Chile

So the reason Thom Hogan's website went quiet for a while is that he and his Nikon D7000 were held hostage in Torres del Paine National Park in Chile!

Crazy! Thom was on a photo tour workshop with some students at the time. We don't know how many Nikon D7000's were in the group, but assuming more than just Thom's.

He's safe now, but click the play button on the video post for the run-down.

Olympus E-PL2 PEN: Discussing Kirk Tuck 's First Impressions Shooting the New Olympus E-PL2

A discussion on Kirk Tuck 's First Impressions Shooting the New Olympus E-PL2 PEN EVIL Mirrorless digital camera.

I'm quite intrigued with the little Olympus E-PL2, and I'm considering adding one to my camera bag.

I'd like to see the E-PL2 holds up against my Nikon D90, Nikon D7000, or Canon 60D.

Olympus E-PL2 PEN - A New EVIL Compact Digital Camera That Looks VERY Promising

The Olympus E-PL2 PEN has been announced and looks to be a VERY interesting EVIL mirrorless digital camera. The specs look good, and the performance promises to be VERY good for such a small digital camera.

I'm interested in picking up one of these little gems to try it out. I'm curious how it compares against a Canon 60D or a Nikon D7000 or a Nikon D90.

The Olympus E-PL2 sensor is smaller than any of these DSLR's, but from what I'm seeing, I think it can hold it's own at lower ISO settings, probably up to ISO 800 anyway.

Nikon 35mm f2 AF-D Review: Why Zach Arias and Myself Like This Lens

The Nikon 35mm f2.0 AF-D is an older lens, but a bit of a sleeper in the sense that it's a little gem.

Here's my run-down on the Nikon 35mm f2.0 lens.

Nikon Micro 105mm VR: Why I Love This Lens, and Why Bjorn Rorslett has Some Complaints

The Nikon Micro 105mm f2.8G VR is an interesting lens with mixed reviews. I really like, but others like Nikon Guru Bjorn Rorslett are not as enamoured with the Nikon 105mm VR.

As a Macro, or Micro lens as Nikon calls it, the Nikon 105mm leaves a bit to be desired.

As a portrait lens, the Nikon 105mm VR is stunning!

Watch the video post for the complete rundown. Thanks for tuning in!
